Steven Spielberg's sexy 'Indy' babes: Karen Allen and Kate Capshaw
Steven Spielberg was surrounded by his "Indiana Jones" older babes Sunday at the Cannes Film Festival world premiere of his "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
By his sides, Karen Allen, who starred as Marion Ravenwood in the original 1981 "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark," and Kate Capshaw, who starred as Willie Scott in the less well-received 1984 prequel, "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" and married Spielberg in 1991.
So where has Karen Allen been all these years? Click here to find out.
I saw the new "Indy" yesterday at a screening on the Paramount lot. Don't believe the nay-sayers. The movie is tremendous fun. But for me, the adventure gets richer and more amusing when Allen bursts onscreen and starts that old Bogie and Bacall banter with Harrison Ford.
Their characters are funny, realistic, and dare I say it, downright hot. Fully clothed, Ford and Allen generate more heat than any onscreen couple I can recall. Makes me want to Netflix the original to rewatch it before I see the new one again. Yes, again.
While I'd understand why Allen might not care to make a film career comeback, let's hope she sticks around. She's fiercer and funnier than Diane Keaton, possibly the only other unretouched older actress working in Hollywood today.
Keep Karen busy, Steven!

I saw Raiders for the first time moons ago with my first love who resembled Allen. It was great seeing Allen back with Indy again in the new Jones film. Great she is in it. Capshaw was funny in her role-maybe they can work her into the next one-both truly lovely women.
