Jansen_panettiere

Britney Spears isn't the only one with pesky paparazzi problems.

Just ask Hayden Panettiere's baby brother.

Hayden_panettiere_jaden_panettiere"It's bad. There are actually places in our house where you can't safely change clothes because of the paparazzi hiding outside," said Jansen Panettiere, 13,  who says there are cameras and videos aimed at their house day and night.

What, they don't have blinds or drapes?

But I can see his point. Who wants to live like that?

"I think it's fine for them to take your picture when you're out in public, at an event or just out at a store," Jansen said at the "Nim's Island" premiere. "That's fair.  But when you're in your own home? That's just wrong."

But he also says there's a light at the end of the lens.

"It should get better shortly because Hayden is buying her own house and will be moving in soon."

And since we're on the subject of paparazzi and gossip, does he have a girlfriend?

"A girlfriend? I have lots!" he said with a grin.

Uh-oh. Hey, isn't that TMZ over there behind that tree?

Tony_romo_jessica_simpson_jpg

So Jessica Simpson got out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center today after being treated since Friday for a "minor kidney infection," according to her rep.

She's reportedly "feeling much better" and is probably not at all annoyed about her boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, not coming to L.A. to visit her once over the entire miserable, lonely weekend.

He was a no-show because -- as Jessica's rep explained to the press -- he "had prior commitments in Dallas."

Wait, your girlfriend's in the hospital for three days over a weekend and you have "prior commitments"?

What, like washing the car?

Let's just hope Tony filled Jess's hospital room with flowers, or someone isn't getting any mo' sugar!

Lara_flynn_boyle_2006_jpg

Lara Flynn Boyle (above, in a rare sighting from November 2006) hasn't been hanging out at hot spots much in the past five years.

But that's not why she was almost unrecognizable when she was spotted by the paps at Mr. Chow this week. Check THESE PHOTOS and tell me if you would have known it was the former beauty from "The Practice."

Let's hope she's not following Joan Rivers' beauty regimen.

Jodi_foster_abigail_breslin

At 14, Jodie Foster was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar for playing a child prostitute in ''Taxi Driver." So she definitely knows a little bit about growing up in the limelight.

What does she think about today's troubled young actresses such as Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton? And what advice did she give her "Nim's Island" costar, Abigail Breslin, who turns 13 this month?

"Abigail doesn't need any advice from me on life as an actress. She's got great parents, a great head on her shoulders and she's already made a lot of movies at this point, probably as many -- or more than -- than I did at her age," Jodie said at Sunday night's "Island" premiere at Grauman's Chinese in Hollywood.

"There have actually been some good examples from excellent actresses -- like Natalie Portman and Claire Danes -- who made a wonderful transition from kids into well-adjusted young people with full lives."

"But it's tough to be an adolescent no matter who you are or what you do. Being 13 or 14 is murder, especially if you're in front of the public eye," Foster said. "I wouldn't do it again for anything!"

Is Paul McCartney singing silly love songs again?

According to a Daily Mail missive, the former Beatle vacationed with his new American lady love at a Caribbean spot called Jumby Bay, near Antigua, shortly after his divorce settlement was, well, settled. Heathermi_eamon_51607313_600

Her name is Nancy Shevell. She's a businesswoman, a member of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority board (huh?), recently separated from her husband. She's also the veep of her family's business, New England Motor Freight, based in Elizabeth, N.J.

And she's TV talk queen Barbara Walters' second cousin! But that family connection has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Baba Wawah's recent comments on "The View" about Paul's ex-wife, Heather Mills, being "not a nice woman."

Nancy is only 47 to Paul's 65, which means she didn't grow up going to Beatles concerts, screaming and pelting the Fab Four with jelly beans.

But according to the DM, they've actually been dating for several months. However, it should be noted that Sir Paul has been playing the proverbial field. He's also reported to have dated Renee Zellweger, Elle Macpherson and Rosanna Arquette.

So maybe he's really singing, "I'm Happy Just to Dance With You," and not "And I Love Her."

And, hey, maybe his daughter Stella likes Nancy too.

Will Britney Spears make a surprise appearance at the Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday?

"Access Hollywood" has reported the rumors first read in OK!. Ryan Seacrest even talked about it on his Friday morning radio show.

Word is that the recovering paparazzi junkie has been logging hours teaching dance to kids in North Hollywood's Millennium Dance Studio. And then there was that mysterious visit to her dentist last week. Can you say "teeth whitening"?

Is she ready to get back up on stage, hopefully in something other than a bra and panties? Will she teach kids from the audience how to dance holding a snake, the way she used to?

At the 2003 KC awards, Britney got to meet and pose with none other than Brad Pitt.

But if she shows up this year, she risks receiving a "hot tranny mess'" fashion critique from "Mr. Fierce" himself, Christian Siriano from "Project Runway."

If I were her, I think I'd stay home.

Wanna get "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell, winner Kelly Clarkson or loser William Hung to talk to you?

You probably can. For a price.

After hearing that Katharine McPhee has just been named the new face of Neutrogena, I got to wondering about other past contestants' endorsement deals.  With a brief Web search, I found out McPhee's other partnership is with Sexy Hair Concepts.

Kelly Clarkson is a spokesperson for Proactiv skin products, Vitamin Water and Candies footwear. And Ford partnered with Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks. Skechers USA is aligned with Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood, who also sings for Hershey's. And Season 3 finalist Jennifer Hudson has a new big-bucks deal with Avon.

Oddly, Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard has no endorsement deals. What, both Big and Tall Men and TrimSpa passed on this prime piece of property? What were they thinking?

But the really wild thing is how many "AI" alum -- winners and total losers -- are on the lucrative celebrity speaker circuit. And I found out about All-American Speakers, founded in 2002 by Greg Friedlander, a former PR and sports marketing expert, which purports to book these "AI" grads.

Say you wanted to hire Fantasia Barrino to talk about her "Idol" life and her book, "Life Is Not a Fairy Tale." You could find her on the All-American Talent and Celebrity Network by clicking HERE

The site lists hundreds of celebs and numerous other "AI" faves such as Elliot Yamin, Kimberly Caldwell, William Hung, Ruben Studdard, Kelly Clarkson, Camile Velasco, Ryan Starr, George Huff, Justin Guarini, Latoya London, Clay Aiken and Julia Demato.

No current Season 7 contestants (the Top 12 are pictured above) are listed. But I'm sure it's only a matter of time before David Hernandez, David Archuleta or Kristy Lee Cook will be doing the pay-to-talk tours.

Interestingly, most "Idol" contestants (and judges Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson) have "contact booking agent for fee info" on their listings. By contrast, judge Simon Cowell and host Ryan Seacrest's speaking fees are blatantly listed as "$100,000 and above." Does this mean Simon and Ryan get more or less money than everyone else? I have a sneaky feeling it's more. Just call it a hunch.

But maybe Hung could be persuaded to do "She Bangs" at your birthday party for a few grand! Or maybe Justin would speak at your bat mizvah, for say, $25,000? Maybe $10,000 with a little haggling.

Just FYI: comedian Dane Cook's fee is listed as $100,000 and above. But hey, he's pretty darn funny. Ellen DeGeneres is listed as $200,000 and above. But she's very funny!

Strangely, Diane Sawyer is listed in the $30,001-to-$50,000 range. You would have thought she'd get more for having met and talked to every famous person in the last two decades.

Maybe it's because she's just not all that funny. And she also wasn't on "American Idol."

Kateboswo_matth_14833686_600
Kate Bosworth said this week that she doesn't remember any of her "21" wild sex scene with co-star Jim Sturgess.

Not because it's a painful memory. Because she was drunk.

"We were both so drunk," the "Superman Returns" star said. "Jim and I became such good friends, we decided to have a couple of drinks, loosen up and go for it."

"We were on Grey Goose, I think," Sturgess said.  "It was brilliant for about half an hour. As we continued to drink ... it just became sloppy and messy. I couldn't stand up at one point."

Great. In an age when young actresses are racking up DUIs as if they were designer purses and heading to rehabs every other week, isn't a bit inappropriate for Kate to giggle over getting plastered when making a movie, even for an unnerving sex scene?

Next thing you know, she'll admit she smoked a cigarette after the sex scene! Unless she's forgotten that too.
