Julie's bad gloves! And whassup with the orange pins?
Let this be a lesson to us all. Do not design your own Oscar dress.
Julie Christie teamed up with her stylist Tanya Gill for this claret colored v-neck dress.
Nothing wrong with this dress that taking off those strange elbow-length sheer pink chiffon sleeves wouldn't solve.
Just what you want gloves to do, make your arms look all pink and crinkly...
Julie was one of several celebs wearing an orange ribbon on their chest.
Seems the ribbons symbolize the movement to "Shut Down Guantanamo!"

Julie Christie has more talent and style than all these so called fashionistas combined!
As Ms. Christie mentioned on the red carpet, the orange ribbon is part of an ongoing campaign by the American Civil Liberties Union to raise awareness about torture and indefinite detention at Guantánamo Bay. Best Documentary award-winner Alex Gibney also sported an orange ribbon, as did 2004 Oscar winning director Paul Haggis. The Close Guantánamo campaign has garnered the support of other prominent artists from Susan Sarandon, to Meshell Ndegeocello, and rocker Henry Rollins. For more information or to get your own orange ribbon free of charge go to www.aclu.org/closeguantanamo.
Julie is a very great actress, but fashion sense is not her forte.
