Christian Slater is a shoe-in the Oscars!

Jimmy Choo founder/president Tamara Mellon has been showing off her new man.

She and actor Christian Slater made the scene at the Revlon "Unforgettable" event and at the "Celebutante" cocktail party, both held this week at Saks in Beverly Hills. 

They also plan to attend the Oscars together. Wow, it must be serious!

The couple has been hot and heavy after being set up by friends about five months ago. Some reports even have them living together.

Of her new man, Mellon has raved to the press, "Christian has badness as a part of his genetic make-up, but he is reformed," Mellon said. "He doesn't drink, he doesn't do drugs, and he understands the spiritual side of getting through that.

"It's wonderful to be with a man who has a past and put it behind him. He is fantastic and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather be with, but the idea of marriage terrifies me."

Wonder if Sharon Stone has heard about Slater's new squeeze? The "Bobby" stars were quite the carpet couple back in 2006.
