Who does Cate B's Oscar color

I'm still not sure what designer Cate Blanchett is going to wear the to Oscars on Sunday. Everyone's whispering Armani... But I do know...

that Negin Zand is doing Cate's honey-colored hair. Zand, who works at the John Frieda Salon (formerly known as Sally Hershberger at John Frieda) on Melrose Place in West Hollywood, brightened up Cate's locks for the SAG awards and she'll do it again for the Oscars. By the way, Hershberger - who has a skin care, lip care and denim line and is famous for having created the ($$$) Meg Ryan choppy bob - is no longer with John Frieda. The partnership is over and she's currently cutting over at Chris McMillan's Burton Way salon. Chris is famous for having created the Jennifer Aniston do. Yikes, talk about dueling celebrity dos!

Word is Sally is thinking of opening up her own place, maybe even right across the street from her old Frieda digs.  Both salons will be jammed with celebs this week, all getting their color freshened and their ends trimmed. Negin's clients include Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Hudson, and Scarlett Johansson. I hear Frieda's top cutters Adrian Castillo and Matthew Shields (he even cuts "Little Miss Sunshine" star Greg Kinnear's hair!) are already booked solid!
