Sarah gives the Spirits some lip

Worth the price of gas to drive to Santa Monica:

The highlight of the Film Independent Spirit Awards (other than the "Little Miss Sunshine"  sweep) was the video clip of host Sarah Silverman doing a Talking Vagina. I know, I know. It doesn't sound funny. But trust me, when you see it you will laugh. Maybe it'll show up on YouTube. Or you can catch the show, which aired live on IFC yesterday. I'm pretty sure they're rerunning it this week. Or they should.

Anyway, congrats to "Sunshine" star Alan Arkin, directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Ferris and screenwriter Michael Arndt, who won Indie Awards. Fingers crossed history repeats itself later today at the Oscars. Nothing against the other films nominated, but so many seeeeerious movies. We could all use chuckles and tears and LMS gives both in spades.
