Jennifer and Beyonce: that's phat, not fat

Jennifer_paramount_1"Dreamgirls" winner Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce Knowles and even "Ugly Betty" star America Ferrara were all asked annoying and inappropriate questions about their weight in the press room backstage at the Globes: "Did you lose weight for the Globes, How did you do it. How did you fit into that dress," etc?

It got so out-of-hand for poor Jennifer and Beyonce that their co-star Jamie Foxx stepped in and properly scolded the reporters, by saying, "Hey, this night is about the film."

At the packed Paramount after-party, Foxx was still complaining about reporters asking stupid questions while Jennifer finally got to eat something. Call more of my friends or eat something? Tough choice!

Meanwhile....

Salma Hayek
dumped her two boxes of See's chocolates (a gift from Extra) on a table at the party and told her PR person that she'd hit the wall and was going home. Only problem was getting her limo to come to the party and pick her up. Try using your cell phone, not the water bottle.

Ellen Pompeo -- whom no one asked about weight -- helped herself to the huge self-serve candy display, which was a bit incongruous in the party's Armani Casaesque sophisticated and subdued living room decor. The candy stand, I mean, not Ellen. She fit right in.

And Beyonce proved that no one can wear an Elie Saab like she can. But she didn't stay long (try 10 minutes) at the Paramount party. She didn't sit and didn't eat. Hmmm.

Kind of off topic but Is the necklace that Patricia Arquette wore last night the same ne that Michelle Williams wore to the 2006 Oscars?

America Ferrara is so cute! She's my idol.. am happy to see that Latinos ar finally here in Hollywood and being appreciated for their work.. You go girl.. America..

I think Jeniffer looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL and she did an excellent job!!

Beyonce looked absolutely like a pop star that she is, she made a statement that night that she is first and singer/entertainer...not a movie star. She looked stunning and she stole the fashion show.
Please check out the washington post article about Beyonce's look. You would appreciate the read.

You know, ignorance is NOT bliss. It's stupidity. And the interviewers showed that with their questions.

Everyone (well, almost everyone) can be beautiful. If a woman believes in herself, and is given the time and attention that "beautiful" women like Beyonce are every day, she is beautiful.

Unfortunately, those that society labels "fat" or "ugly" or otherwise "undesirable," rarely get that chance.
While the "pretty" girls are encouraged to make themselves even prettier, the rest of us are supposed to just try to blend in with the potted plants or the wall or something. The idea of a non-anorexic woman being beautiful, with wonderous hair and fab makeup and a truly, truly kick *** dress, and looking proud and happy, just doesn't cross anyone's mind. I guess the interviewers didn't notice it, but Jennifer was BEAUTIFUL and America looked very pretty. I have no doubt that when America is a few years older and with a similar stunning dress she too will evoke the WOW that the interviewers should have noticed emanating from Jennifer!

BIG CAN BE BEAUTIFUL - JUST NOT IN BEYONCE'S CASE. SHE'S NOT FAT, SHE JUST DOESN'T HAVE A PRETTY SHAPE. (NO KNEES, TREE TRUNK THIGHS, PEAR SHAPE, ETC.) AND IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR A WOMAN TO BE BEAUTIFUL IF SHE HAS TO WEAR FAKE HAIR. TAKE AWAY THE WEAVE, THE MAKEUP, AND THE CLOTHES THAT COVER THE BODY FLAWS, AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY OF THAT JELLY.
