Misfits Guide to Summer: May
Ah...Summer. Kick the tires and light the barbecue fires because it's on. While Zap2it has rundown all the big movies coming out in the next few months, we Misfits want to give you a quite a few entertainment options. And if these suggestions aren't quite your speed, hopefully they'll put you on the right path...
Movies
>Iron Man - May 2nd
>Speed Racer - May 9th (regular and IMAX theaters)
>Redbelt - May 9th (wide release)
It's not a sci-fi film but it does star Chiwetel Ejiofor (Serenity, Children of Men), whom I adore.
>The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian - May 16th
It's listed as being rated PG for "epic battle action and violence." Sweet.
>Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - May 22nd
I'm trying not to be too excited for Indy's return but, darn it, I am. I really am. Cue the overture, mofos.
>Postal - May 23rd
Uwe Boll, the angriest director in the world, has (sort of) adapted yet another video game. The plot summary on ComingSoon.net likens the film to a "live-action South Park." Riiiight. At least Zack Ward is starring in it. I like him. Hopefully he won't die like he has in the last 6 movies I've seen him in.
>War, Inc. - May 23rd
This isn't sci-fi either, but John Cusack reunites with Grosse Point Blank co-stars Dan Ackroyd and sister Joan Cusack for this political satire.
TV - Finales

Supernatural - May 15th

Remember that cartoon about a sheriff on another planet with a talking horse who could become humanoid and walk on two legs and fire a gun?
>FutureWeapons: Season 2 - May 6th
The intriguing Discovery Channel show comes to DVD.
>The Tiger Blade - May 6th
This Thai action film revolves around a secret police force that must use a mystic sword to battle supernaturally powered bad guys.
>He-Man & She-Ra: The Secret of the Sword - May 6th
This movie served to introduce Prince Adam's (aka He-Man) previously unknown twin sister Princess Adora (She-Ra) and launched a rare cartoon spin-off that will always hold a special place in my heart. Two words: Roundhouse Kick.
>The Invaders: The First Season - May 6th
This 60's series about a single man who must warn the world about an ensuing alien invasion finally comes to DVD.
>Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie - May 6th
>The Passion of Greg the Bunny: Best of the Film Parodies - May 6th

>Lost Colony, The Legend of Roanoke - May 20th
Adrian Paul stars in this film that debuted on the SciFi Channel.
>Robot Chicken: Star Wars - May 20th
Seth Green and company's salute to the Lucas epic comes to DVD in all its random glory.
>George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead - May 20th
>Dario Argento Box Set - May 27th
Collects five movies by the legendary Italian filmmaker.
>Beast King Golion - May 27th
More commonly known in the States as Voltron, this three-disc set collects the original Japanese series that's quite different then the one you watched as a kid.
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Volume Two - May 27th
Video Games
>Iron Man - Multiple Platforms - May 2nd
The cut-scenes look fab but there's no guarentee this movie adaption won't suck like most movie adaption games.
>SNK Arcade Classics Volume 1 - PSP, PS2 - May 5th
Collects a slew of coin-drop favorites including King of Monsters, Fatal Fury, and Art of Fighting.
>Speed Racer - Wii, DS - May 6th
I don't know if it'll be any good but the Wii version outghta be fun.
>Boom Blox - Wii - May 6th
Steven Spielberg teamed up with EA to create this action/puzzle game.
>Neverwinter Nights Gold Edition - PC - May 6th
A reissue of Neverwinter Nights that contains the Shadows of the Undrentide expansion pack.

>Fortress on the Sun by Paul Cook - May 28th
>Ginger Star by Leigh Brackett - May 28th
>The Swordbearer by Glen Cook - May 30th
Played the "Iron Man" demo for PS3 last week, it's not that great. I don't see any reason why to ever use the missiles as the primary weapon when you can do uber-damage with the pulse weapon. The controls were pretty crappy too but it looked good.
The movie, on the other hand, rocked my socks off!
