Jamesmcavoy_wanted_240 Before we get into everything else, has everyone seen the new Iron Man and Wanted trailers? If not, you totally should because they will melt your face with awesomeness. Behold the glory!

Batman fights the future in Terminator 4
Christian Bale steps into the shoes of another icon as he plays grown-up John Connor in the latest Terminator film. McG is directing, apparently with encouragement from James Cameron. But is it worth it? Not that I don't enjoy McG's sense of blow-em-up, but I'm just a little skeptical. And where does it fit in with the rest of the films and The Sarah Connor Chronicles?

Lost Hobbit befriends Wolverine
Dominic Monaghan joins the very interesting cast of this snikt-fest including Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Liev Schrieber as Sabretooth, Daniel Henney (who I've never heard of but is quite man-pretty) as Agent Zero and, strangest of all, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas as John Wraith (aka Kestral). IMDB lists another actor named Christian Clark sans part - 10 bucks says he's playing Omega Red. I do love me some Wolverine, but I must say this film has me a little frightened that it's going to be awful.

Justice League development reboots
Now the Great Strike of '07 is finally over, Warner Bros. has once again fast tracked the film and I'm not the least bit surprised. Concerned that it's going to suck, yes, but not surprised.

In Other News:

 • Noah Wyle returns as The Librarian, and this time he's taking on Dracula. Am I the only one who's kinda stoked about this? I enjoyed the first two (perhaps with the exception of the female leads who I found to be occasionally lackluster) and, better yet, Jonathan "Number 1" Frakes is directing again.

 • Supernatural and Smallville are among the shows getting the greenlight for the 2008-2009 season by The CW. To be completely honest, I haven't watched an entire Smallville season since I think 2006 but I'm all aboard the Supernatural train. Woo woo! The thing that I don't get is how One Tree Hill keeps getting renewed (especially when they could be showing Veronica Mars, who they bit the the whole "x years later" thing from). I don't know a single person who watches that dren and it should be automatically DQ'ed for having Federline doing a guest arc. Boo!
 • Justice League: The New Frontier made its DVD debut featuring the best cast you'll never see in real life including David Boreanaz as Green Lantern, Miguel Ferrar as the Martian Manhunter, Neil Patrick Harris as The Flash and, most importantly, Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman. With artwork that directly mirrors Darwyn Cooke's source material, I've been waiting for this to come out since they started hyping in at the San Diego Comic Con last summer.
 • NBC gets its Twighlight Zone on with the upcoming horror anthology Fear Itself. I guess the popularity of Supernatural is giving other networks bright ideas.
 • Agent Smith encounters The Wolfman as Hugo Weaving joins the cast. I'm looking forward to seeing the final product. One thing's for sure - they'll save some money on transformative make-up considering Benicio Del Toro is half-way there already.
 • The Rock gets his Tooth Fairy on in a new family flick. Dwayne, Mr. Johnson...uh, I'm sure this'll be enjoyable and adorable but...um...could you go back to beating up people and blowing stuff up, please?

The only Barnell I know from X-Men is Beak (the lovable but ugly bird-faced kid from Grant Morrison's X-Men run), and I don't think this description sounds like him.
I am however, excited to hear of a Deadpool movie, but I don't know if he really needs to be introduced in the Wolverine movie. And you didn't mention that Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins) will be Gambit. Gambit's not my fav character, and he has little to do with Wolverine although it might not be too hard to insert him into the story.

As for Terminator, I think we should think of the first two movies as providing the basis of the mythology. Then the new show is one continituity and the 3rd and 4th movies are a separate one. I know that bothers some people, but I'm fine with it.

I don't know why there is all of this hate for T3. I thought it was better than T2 storyline wise. Granted, Arnold was definitely older and couldn't really match the action of the second one but I still thought the story was fantastic. I was happy to see Judgment Day finally come to pass, to have to keep preventing it was getting stale.

I have never heard of "Wanted" (I'm guessing it's a graphic novel adaptation) but the trailer looks insane. I am definitely going to check it out.

wow - how anyone could say T3 was good is boyond me and to say it had a storyline...much less a better storyline than T2 is just Twilight Zone-ish. But I love the tv series - i hope T4 finds it's place somewhere in the future that SCC is developing, and I love how the FOX series is completely true to T1 and T2 and ignors T3. Anyway - I think Christian Bale will do a good job!!
