'Sherlock Spoils Everything': Why Holmes and Watson never watch TV
"Sherlock" is not a show in which the main characters spend a lot of time watching television or reading mystery novels. Why would they? After all Watson is living a mystery story, and Holmes can deduce anything quickly.
For this reason, no one should want to watch spoiler-heavy TV shows with Sherlock. It won't end well. "Sherlock Spoils Everything" is a short animation from Leigh Lahav and Oren Mendez that explores what would happen if the old friends sat down together to watch some television.
Warning: Spoilers for "Breaking Bad," "Mad Men," "Gossip Girl" (from past seasons, mostly) and more are found in this video. Don't worry though -- no "Sherlock"spoilers.
What are the specific things Holmes knows?
- "Breaking Bad" - Walt poisoned the little boy with his lily of the valley.
- "Mad Men" - Don Draper is cheating on Megan.
- "Gossip Girl" - Dan is Gossip Girl.
- "Dexter" - Masuka knows.
- "New Girl" - "Nick and Jess won't make it."
And so on and so forth. Of course, this is a "Sherlock" video we're talking about, so there are some shipping bits toward the end as well. Enjoy!
