Rose Parade 2014: PETA protest of Sea World float leads to multiple arrests
At least 10 arrests were made surrounding a PETA protest that targeted a float sponsored by Sea World at the 125th Tournament of Roses Parade.
At least 10 of the arrests were of people trying to stop the Sea World float during the televised event, according to NBC Southern California. The float featured an orca whale and other sea life, along with smiling people. PETA claims that the ocean-based theme park engages in animal abuse, an increasingly popular viewpoint since the release of CNN's documentary film, "Blackfish."
Protestors were spotted in the morning with a large black balloon, believed to be a reference to "Blackfish." Those arrested included one juvenile.
