World Series champions David Ortiz and Shane Victorino shave beards for charity - Watch
The World Series is over and the Boston Red Sox are champions, so the time has come to shave the rally beards. MVP David "Big Papi" Ortiz and Shane Victorino did just that, for charity on Monday (November 3).
The men shaved at the Gillette World Shaving Headquarters, after the company donated $100,000 to The One Fund, which benefits the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Outside of Ortiz keeping his goatee for an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," then men were shaved clean of their facial hair. "He looks like a big grape," Ortiz says of Victorino. "We wanted everyone to know it wasn't just us we were playing for in the world championship," he told the crowd that gathered to watch the shave-off, "it was the city [of Boston]."
