Watch as Michelle Obama welcomes White House Christmas tree
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... especially at the White House, which this week welcomed the gigantic fir tree that will act as the Christmas tree for 2013.
In the above video, First Lady Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia welcome the 18-and-a-half foot Douglas fir from Crystal Springs Tree Farm in Leighton, Penn. -- with the dogs, Bo and Sunny, on hand to supervise.
The Blue Room is where the tree will stand throughout the holiday season.
Of course, this tree looks positively miniscule compared to the tree brought to the front law of the Capitol earlier in the week. That monster stands at nearly 90 feet. It will be decorated with 5,000 handmade ornaments from children across the country. The theme for this year is "Sharing Washington's Good Nature."
