'The Big Bang Theory' releases 'Bernadette's Song' on iTunes for charity
If you were fan of Howard's (Simon Helberg) song for Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) during the Thursday (Oct. 24) episode of "The Big Bang Theory" (and how could you not be?), you're in luck: CBS has made the song available for purchase.
The day after fans swooned as Howard sang his original composition "If I Didn't Have You (Bernadette's Song") outside his wife's hospital room during her quarantine after a lab accident, the very sweet and very funny song was released on iTunes in recognition of the show's support of MusiCares, an organization established by the Recording Academy to provide a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need.
The cast recording, which features Helberg singing lead with co-stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Mayim Bialik providing backup, was written by former "Big Bang" guest star Kate Micucci (who recurred in Season 6 as Raj's girlfriend Lucy) and her music partner Riki Lindhome, who perform as the comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates.
Check out the in-show performance above and be sure to head to iTunes if you like what you hear.
"The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
