'SNL' singer Katy Perry admits to past cat fight: 'I pulled someone's weave off'
This cat doesn't normally use her claws, but Katy Perry admits that she was once in a fight that got physical.
The "Saturday Night Live" singer revealed on French chat show Le Grand Journal that the fight escalated, and she even pulled a girl's weave off. ''I'm a lover not a fighter. There's only been one fight a long time ago," Perry says. "It was a girl fight and I was caught between a bunch of girls and I just stuck my hand in and grabbed some hair. I pulled a weave off!''
The 28-year-old singer also spoke about her career similarities to late pop sensation Michael Jackson, since she matched his chart record of having five singles from the same album reaching No. 1 in the U.S. in 2011, but said that she would never own a pet monkey like Jackson's infamous chimp Bubbles. ''I did actually work with a monkey for the 'Roar' video, but I didn't get to take him home because monkeys are not pets I've learned," Perry says. "But I guess Justin Bieber does not know that!''
Perry also talked about her huge fan following, and having over 45 million followers on Twitter. "That's a lot of people. Can you imagine if I make a spelling mistake?" Perry says. "I'm actually really close to my fans. One of my fans gave me this necklace that I'm wearing today.''
The singer is so dedicated to her fans that she actually spent her 29th birthday performing for Lakewood High School in Lakewood, Colo. after the school won her "Good Morning America" "Roar" high school video contest. The thousands of students at the school came out to watch Perry perform a concert just for them.
