Lamar Odom skipped Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's proposal because he had better things to do
Lamar Odom was noticeably absent from Kanye West's proposal to Kim Kardashian, and many assumed it was because he had been blocked by the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" family in light of his recent marriage troubles with Khloe Kardashian. But according to Odom, he skipped the big event of his own volition.
TMZ spoke to Odom after dinner on Oct. 22 about his absence from the proposal. Odom was immediately on the defensive, asking the paparazzo, "You see my wedding ring on?" (it was, for the record) before explaining why he wasn't there.
"Because I had something to do. Maybe I had to do something personal? I think everybody's alright," he says.
Odom used the interview as an opportunity to show, "I'm normal. I'm normal. ... I'm a gentleman," reprimanding the pap for not introducing himself and then having a lengthy conversation about the proper way to approach him for an interview. But something about Odom's explanation for not being with the rest of the Kardashians for Kim's big day doesn't seem like it entirely adds up. If the Kardashians are all about family, wouldn't it make sense that he would have been with them?
