'Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke secret brain aneurysm revealed
The National Enquirer published a story claiming Clarke was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm earlier in 2013 after she finished her run on Broadway in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Insiders tell the tabloid that Clarke was admitted to New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC at the time, and has kept the health situation a secret since.
"Everyone was so scared for her. She's so young, and nobody would have ever expected that she could be suffering from something so serious," a source tells the Enquirer. "Emilia is doing really well now and she should be okay moving forward. No one really knows what caused the aneurysm. It seems like a fluke thing."
Clarke's reps haven't addressed the alleged aneurysm, so for the time being it's not officially confirmed. At least Clarke seems to have recovered nicely if she was ill, as she's been seen filming "Game of Thrones" Season 4 in Croatia in recent weeks.
"Game of Thrones" returns to HBO in Spring 2014.
