Bethenny Frankel, Ellen DeGeneres clear up talk show distancing rumors
Earlier this week, rumors were circulating that talk show host Bethenny Frankel was blaming her producer and talk show superstar Ellen DeGeneres for not being able to booking any A-list stars, and therefore, suffering from tanking ratings.
Not so, say Bethenny and Ellen, themselves.
While unable to make an in-person appearance to clear up the chatter, Ellen paid a video visit to Bethenny's show to insist that all is still well between them and that she's proud of what Bethenny is accomplishing, and we then learned a little bit more about Bethenny's current home life situation...
"I was just telling my audience how much I love you and how amazing you've been to me," Frankel said. "I try to explain to people that you and I are really friends. We actually go to dinner, I hang out with you and Portia (De Rossi), I've been to your house. I genuinely love you and look up to you and I call you when things are rough or when I need advice and that's just the nature of this relationship."
"It is," said Ellen with a laugh. "I mean you have not invited me to your house but I've invited you to mine so that has happened, but someday. Maybe. I don't know."
And then Bethenny, who has been going through a fairly nasty divorce from Jason Hoppy, revealed that while they're separated he's not yet moved out: "My ex-husband lives in my house, Ellen." We hope that's a really big house. And we're sure it is.
Ellen says in the end that there's not "one crumb of truth" to the rumor that she's distancing herself from the show.
Watch the rest of the lovefest below, as the two basically turn it into a "I love you," "No, I love YOU, man" dialogue.
