Microsoft's Xbox One gets a November 22 release date
Microsoft has given Xbox One an official release date and it won't beat Sony's PlayStation 4 to the finish line in the United States. Xbox One will land in stores on Friday, November 22, less than a week before Thanksgiving.
The console already has a pretty impressive list of launch titles, with 23 different games available the day it goes on sale. Some of the bad stigma behind the new system has disappeared as well, after Microsoft backpedaled on several of the DRM policies they introduced when announcing the console.
PlayStation 4 will be released a full week earlier than the Xbox One, on November 14, in the United States. The console currently has 18 games set to launch on the same day. It'll hit stores in Europe on November 29.
