'American Idol' was not as easy as Nicki Minaj thought it would be
Nicki Minaj is stopping by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Thursday (Sept. 26), where host Ellen DeGeneres gives her a thong and Minaj talks about her time judging "American Idol."
On "American Idol":
Ellen: "When you joined 'Idol' and I asked you how in the world you were going to hold that thing down? Did I predict it or ... I told you. I said, that is going to be a hard thing for you to embrace."
Nicki: "You said that it was going to be a very difficult job and I laughed you off ... ha ha ha, Ellen, you don't know what you are talking about ... but I wouldn't trade it for the world. It was a great learning experience, honestly. Literally as soon as 'Idol' was done I did the Billboard Awards and then I flew to New York to shoot a movie. I didn't even get to sit back and think what did I just do? It kind of happened so quick and then it was over."
Ellen: "You did have fun. You seemed to have fun on the panel, right?"
Nicki: "Yeah,um hum. ... I did...
Ellen: "And you wouldn't go back again?"
Ellen gives Nicki a black "Ellen" thong:
Nicki: "What am I going to do with this?"
Ellen: "You know what you're going to do with that."
Nicki: "I don't know, Ellen, this may be a little too much for me...."
Ellen: "That is a wonderful quote."
Nicki: "Would you wear these? Keep it real?"
Ellen: "That's what I got on right now."
