'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer disses 'Fifty Shades of Grey' author E.L. James
There is clearly no love lost between these two best-selling authors. "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer was caught dissing "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James on Friday night (August 9). So what did she say about the erotic novelist?
When asked if she had any advice for James when it comes to casting the movie adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey," Meyer responded with making a face and saying, "No, I haven't read it," TMZ reports.
This isn't the first time Meyer has made her distaste for the "Fifty Shades" trilogy known. She previously told The Guardian the series was "too smutty" for her taste, saying, "Erotica is not something I read. I don't even read traditional romance."
