Shailene Woodley, Miles Teller PSA: If you text during a film, we'll ruin your life
Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller take their stance on texting in a movie theater very, very seriously. "The Spectacular Now" stars teamed up with the Alamo Drafthouse theater, which has a famously strict no-cell phones policy, to create a new PSA about texting and watching movies.
"Don't text and watch films. It ruins lives," Woodley warns. Teller adds, "And I'm going to ruin your life." That's about as terrifying as Nicolas Winding Refn claiming Ryan Gosling will beat you up if you talk or text in an Alamo Drafthouse theater.
That stance is pretty similar to how Woodley and Teller feel about the touchy subject of spoilers. When talking to Zap2it about "The Spectacular Now," they shared their frustrations with people complaining about what is a spoiler and what isn't.
"I just think this 'spoiler alert' thing is just such a buzz now. Yeah, if you don't want to see that -- if I don't want to know the score of a baseball game, I don't watch ESPN. You know, you just avoid those things," Teller says.
"The Spectacular Now" is currently out in theaters. Teller and Woodley's next film, "Divergent," is due out on March 21, 2014.
