Leah Remini reports Scientology leader David Miscavige's wife Shelly Miscavige missing
Leah Remini has not only divorced herself from the Church of Scientolgoy, she's calling the controversial group to the carpet on the mysterious whereabouts of Shelly Miscavige, wife of church leader David Miscavige. People reports the "Family Tools" star contacted police and filed a missing persons report for Shelly.
It has been reported that Remini was subjected to punishments including "thought modification" by the religious group for questioning the whereabouts of Mrs. Miscavige, who reportedly has not been seen in public for six years.
Remini has said of her departure from the organization, "No one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to." Without naming Miscavige, she adds, "It doesn't matter, it could be anything. I thought about the family being broken up for some other cause, and I'm not about to shut up."
Going to the cops is just part of Remini's strategy on behalf of Mrs. Miscavige. She also plans to release a tell-all memoir that will detail her experiences with Scientology and include "everything that's taboo to talk about."
Meanwhile, a website in Shelly's name has been set up by an anonymous party who wants to know, "Where is Shelly Miscavige?"
