'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' casts 'Game of Thrones' star Natalie Dormer
Lionsgate has revealed the first bit of new casting for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2." "Game of Thrones" star Natalie Dormer will join the franchise as Cressida, a Capitol director who joins the rebellion to film propaganda shorts about Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), in order to energize the rebels.
In addition to appearing as Margaery Tyrell on "Game of Thrones," Dormer can next be seen in "Rush," the biopic about Austrian Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda (Chris Hemsworth), directed by Ron Howard.
The first installment of "Mockingjay" is reported to start filming in September, two months before "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens in theaters on November 22. "Mockingjay Part 1" is scheduled for a November 21, 2014 release.
