Harley-Davidson unveils 2014 lineup: Project Rushmore revealed
The Harley-Davidson motorcycle company pulled back the curtain to show off their 2014 lineup of bikes and there's some big things on the way from the manufacturer. The biggest news to come out of the unveiling is Project Rushmore, which gives a fresh approach to their touring line of motorcycles, bringing them into the 21st century.
The touring bikes under the Project Rushmore label have overhauled engines, improved braking, and a new 'infotainment' interface, among other improvements. The infotainment system offers a touch screen display, bluetooth connectivity and text-to-speech translation. Oh yeah, and it's all voice controlled. You shouldn't take your hands off the handlebars to text, anyway.
For the first time ever, Harley is also offering liquid-cooled engines on some touring models. The Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will use both liquid and air to cool the engine and will be available on the 2014 Ultra Limited and Tri Glide Ultra.
Elsewhere in the lineup, Harley continues their Sportster, Dyna, Softail, CVO and V-Rod collections, some with new paint and accessory options. You can see all the models on the Harley-Davidson website.
