'Guardians of the Galaxy': Bradley Cooper to voice Rocket Raccoon?
The hunt might be over for the voice of Rocket Raccoon. The Guardian of the Galaxy who director James Gunn has admitted is his favorite could potentially be voiced by Bradley Cooper -- if "The Hangover" star accepts Marvel's offer.
Latino Review originally reported that Marvel made an offer to Cooper's reps to voice Rocket Raccoon, and Deadline later confirmed the news. Deadline adds that, though Cooper's involvement isn't set in stone, discussions are "quite far along."
Rocket Raccoon is the last major character to be cast in "Guardians of the Galaxy." If Cooper does take the role, this will be the first time he reteams on screen with ex-girlfriend Zoe Saldana since they filmed 2012's "The Words."
"Guardians of the Galaxy" stars Chris Pratt, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Gregg Henry, Michael Rooker, Saldana, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, Benicio Del Toro and Djimon Hounsou. Meanwhile, Vin Diesel is rumored to voice Groot. "Guardians of the Galaxy" is due in theaters on Aug. 1, 2014.
