Adrienne Bailon and 'The Real' co-host say Britney Spears conservatorship is 'karma,' she 'can't hold a conversation'
Co-host of "The Real" and former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon does not mince words when it comes to fellow pop singer Britney Spears. During an episode of the daytime chat show that also features Tamar Braxton, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley, Bailon took a couple of pot shots at Britney.
"The Real" hosts were discussing child star breakdowns when Bailon hurled her first insult. "Britney Spears needs to call Miley Cyrus' stylist ASAP," she says, in reference to Brit's infamous 2007 head shaving incident. Bailon goes on to claim the pop icon, who is under court-ordered conservatorship for a personality disorder, "can't hold a conversation."
"I've worked with her on 'X-Factor,'" Bailon says of Spears. "I would do the behind-the-scenes stuff ... They have someone that feeds her what she's supposed to say."
Braxton came to Spears' defense, saying she's heard the mother of two is quietly trying to get her act together. "She has a dry tour," Braxton claims. "You can't drink, you can't smoke, can't do drugs -- which, I feel like that's appropriate, especially if you're trying to stay clean and stay on the right path. That's kind of cool."
But Love was on Bailon's side, and had some unkind words of her own to say about Britney's relationship with ex-husband Kevin Federline. "Britney Spears took a dude that was already with a girl that had babies," Love says, referring to K-Fed's ex, Shar Jackson. "Sometimes when you do that kind of stuff and take a dude, that's called karma." Ouch.
Guess that's why they call it "The Real."
