Comic-Con 2013: 'Godzilla', '300: Rise of an Empire' get new posters
New movie posters are appearing out of nowhere as San Diego Comic-Con gets closer. Warner Bros./Legendary Pictures are adding to the mix with new posters from two of the movies they will be presenting at Comic-Con.
First up is "Godzilla" (care of IGN), which isn't scheduled to stomp into theaters until May 16, 2014. This is actually the first thing that's been released for the movie, which will make it's debut at Comic-Con. It's directed by Gareth Edwards, who has the tiny-budget independent hit "Monsters" under his belt, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe and Elizabeth Olsen.
The other poster is actually the second one for "300: Rise of an Empire" to be released in a week. While the first centers on a warrior with the tagline "Fear Us," the new poster features Lena Headey in her role as Queen Gorgo. The tagline for this one reads, "Avenge Him," referring to her dead husband, King Leonidas.
"300: Rise of an Empire" is scheduled for a March 7, 2014 release. Zap2it will be on the scene at Comic-Con to share news about these and the other movies and TV shows being presented, so stay tuned.
