Jennifer Lopez 'Britain's Got Talent' performance angers family audience
Considering how long she was with "American Idol," Jennifer Lopez should know by now what types of performances are deemed appropriate for the family-friendly show. But when the former judge appeared on "Britain's Got Talent" to perform her song "Live It Up," some audience members found her outfit and dance routine unfit for all viewers.
Daily Mail received a statement from Ofcom, the British version of the Parents Television Council, that said complaints had already been filed about Lopez' performance, which can be watched below. "Ofcom can confirm that it has received complaints about the Britain's Got Talent broadcast last night, which we are assessing but not currently investigating," the statement reads.
The "Live It Up" performance is characteristic of Lopez, but is understandably a bit raunchy for the families who were watching at home. During the show, Lopez wore a black leotard that didn't cover much of her back end, and frequently shook her behind at the camera. She also sexily slid down a pole and lay on the ground to flash her crotch at other points during the dance.
Lopez has not responded to the negative feedback, but simply tweeted, "Thanks gottalent for a great night #liveitup #bgt." The audience in attendance also seemed to love the performance, with judge Simon Cowell saying, "Seriously, JLo. If anyone wants to know how you do it. That's how you do it. Seriously world class."
