Seth MacFarlane splits from 'Game of Thrones' star Emilia Clarke

It's game over for the relationship between "Family Guy" head honcho Seth MacFarlane and "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke. E! Online reports the pair have broken up, after getting together last year.

According to a source, "It was really a location challenge. She has been in Europe shooting 'Game of Thrones,' and he is based in California, so it was hard to make it work despite the distance." The source says the couple remain friends.

It's been a busy year for MacFarlane, who recently hosted the Oscars to a mixed reception, and says he will never do it again. Clarke has quite a bit going on herself. Beginning March 20, the actress will star as Holly Golightly in a production of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" on Broadway, alongside Cory Michael Smith as Fred.
