Questlove: Justin Timberlake to release '20/20 Experience' Volume 2 in November
Justin Timberlake has just released "The 20/20 Experience," his first album in over six years, and already there is talk that he's got a follow-up album coming later this year. On the Okayplayer message boards, Questlove, the drummer and co-frontman for The Roots, says to look for Timberlake's next album in November.
"Spoiler alert. 20/20 Vol 2 comes out in nov. (10 songs now.....10 songs later= 20 vision)," writes Questlove, who recently spent a week with Timberlake for "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," where The Roots are the in-house band. Questlove also performed a DJ set before Timberlake's show at SXSW over the weekend (pictured above).
Questlove also offers some critiques of the first "20/20" album, writing, "I admire the balls it took to make this record ... is [Timberlake] cool with the fact that only 35 year old people who love their soul in 95 bpm zone will 'get' [Suit and Tie]. And he was like 'why do we put all of our power in the hands of 18 year olds....i wanted to make a joint that 40 year olds would love too.'"
What do you think? Is "Suit and Tie" geared toward an older set? And are you excited for a second Timberlake album this year?
