Pippa Middleton dropped by literary agent after book flops
Sometimes things just don't work out, even if you're sister to the Duchess of Cambridge. After becoming an internet sensation following the royal wedding of her sister, Kate Middleton, to Prince William, Pippa Middleton cashed in. She signed a book deal, with netted her a nice $600,000 advance.
However, when the book, "Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends," came out last year, it was was met with terrible sales, with the reviews doing it no favors. Now her literary agent says she is no longer one of his clients, the Telegraph reports.
When David Godwin was asked if he had dropped Middleton, he explains, "I am very sorry it has happened, but yes, it is true: I no longer represent Pippa and I wish her every good luck." Fear not, though, as Pippa's writing career goes on. Beginning in February, she will write a column in Waitrose Kitchen Magazine called "Pippa's Friday Night Feasts."
