Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar' time travels into theaters Nov. 7, 2014
Based on an original screenplay by Nolan's brother Jonathan Nolan (who worked on the Batman films and executive produces CBS' "Person of Interest"), "Interstellar" is said to involve time travel, an interstellar voyage and the scientific theories of Caltech physicist Kip Thorne.
Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures are co-producing the project, with Warner Bros. handling overseas distribution and Paramount releasing in the U.S. Casting and an official start date are expected to be announced at a later time.
Steven Spielberg had been attached to the film since 2006, but it's Nolan who will bring it to the screen. That sounds like good news for those who prefer the filmmaker's more creative movies like "Memento" and "Inception" to the limitations of a comic book franchise.
