Carrie Fisher 'joking' about 'Star Wars' return - nothing is a done deal

The internet was abuzz Wednesday (March 6) when actress Carrie Fisher was asked by Palm Beach Illustrated if she could "confirm whether [she'll] reprise the role of Princess Leia." Fisher responded with a simple "yes" -- but don't go rolling your hair-buns yet, fans.

A representative for the actress tells CNN, "She was joking. Nothing has been announced."

That doesn't mean she isn't interested. She has expressed being open to joining a future "Star Wars" movie, but nothing is a done deal.

Either way, we do like her vision of what Princess Leia is like now -- "Elderly. She's in an intergalactic old folks' home [laughs]. I just think she would be just like she was before, only slower and less inclined to be up for the big battle."

Maybe Princess Leia now has a dog who poops all over the Millennium Falcon.
