'After Earth' trailer 2: Jaden Smith battles aliens with Will Smith's help

The second trailer for summer sci-fi release "After Earth" provides a deeper look at the father-son dynamic between stars Will Smith and Jaden Smith and a few significant glimpses of the film's aliens.

The action epic from director M. Night Shyamalan (whose name is conspicuously absent from this trailer, just like the first one) follows Jaden's young hero on a quest to save himself and his dad after they crash land on Earth in the distant future.

This trailer is a lot more action focused than the first, and we're still not entirely sure Shyamalan is up to this type of gig after "The Last Airbender." But we'll reserve judgment until the finished product hits theaters June 7.
