William Shatner calls J.J. Abrams 'a pig' for directing both 'Star Wars' and 'Star Trek'

William Shatner has some words for J.J. Abrams. The former "Star Trek" star disagrees with the fact that they current "Star Trek" director is also going to direct "Star Wars: Episode VII," and he's made his unhappiness very clear.

"He's being a pig," Shatner tells MovieFanatic. "I mean, he's collecting the two franchises and holding them close to his vest and he's probably the most talented director of that ilk we have, but he's gone too far this time. I think of him as a buddy of mine, I've taken him out for sushi. It's time for J.J. and I to have another sushi, and let me put him straight about two of the largest franchises, and not employing me in either one of them is just foolhardy."

Considering Abrams had Leonard Nimoy play a role in "Star Trek," we don't doubt that he could probably find a role for Shatner as well -- in fact, it's been rumored in the past. But casting Shatner in "Star Wars: Episode VII"? That's a crossover we doubt even Abrams would dare to do.
