Robin Sachs, an actor best known for playing the role of Ethan Rayne in "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," has passed away. The official website for the 61-year-old Brit posted the news about his death on Feb. 5.

"It is with great sadness that we have to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Robin Sachs," the site writes. "Please join us in raising a glass to Robin - goodbye, dear friend. Thank you for all the laughter and the cookies. We will miss you so very much."

Details of Sachs' death have not yet been revealed. He had a lengthy career, but was beloved most for his villainous turn in "Buffy."
