Muhammad Ali ailing? No, he had a Super Bowl party
There was a rather alarming report about boxing legend Muhammad Ali coming out of the U.K. Ali's brother Rahman tells the Sun newspaper:"My brother can't speak -- he doesn't recognise me. He's in a bad way. He's very sick. It could be months, it could be days. I don't know if he'll last the summer. He's in God's hands. We hope he gently passes away."
However, Ali's family spokesman Bob Gunnell tells the Courier-Journal, "He looks great. He's having a Super Bowl party" and posted this picture (left) to Twitter.
Ali's daughter Laila Ali adds on Twitter, "2 all concerned, my father is the same as usual. I spoke 2 his wife today and she said he is totally fine & was watching the game! Thanks!" and "My dads health is normal! Here is a pic of him today! Thanks for all well wishes." And she posted the photo below.
The former world heavyweight champ was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1984 and has since become a major philanthropist for the syndrome and its research, as well as for the Special Olympics and the Make a Wish Foundation.
