Mindy McCready was never a suspect in David Wilson's death says sheriff - report

When Mindy McCready's boyfriend, David Wilson, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, there were reports that mentioned McCready as a possible suspect. She went on "Today" to address those reports, saying she was not involved in any way with his death, and that it was the hardest thing she had ever gone through.

An investigation into Wilson's death confirmed it as a suicide. Now, Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss is talking about the death, specifically what role McCready was believed to have played in it. Moss says Mindy was never considered a suspect, or even a person of interest in the case, according to TMZ. "Mindy never changed her story," Moss says.

McCready died Sunday night of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Before taking her own life, She reportedly shot her dog as well.
