Melissa King compares herself to Kim Kardashian after sex tape scandal

In case you hadn't heard the news, Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King resigned her crown recently after a sex tape that seemed to feature her emerged. Though she has denied the claims, her recent string of Twitter activity seems to confirm that the 18-year-old was in fact the woman pictured in the video.

"Once you move on in life people shouldn't try to use your past against you... Let them be happy," King tweets.

The tape in question was reportedly filmed before she was named Miss Delaware Teen USA in November. In the video, the girl says she has done beauty pageants and her birthday is in March -- both things that are true about King. But she has found a silver lining in this situation: Kim Kardashian also had a sex tape leak, and she has been all the more famous because of it.

"Be strong, life has a funny way of working out. Kim K made it and now is one of the most powerful women in the US. #Support," King retweeted.

King has already gotten one big job offer out of the situation, as hardcore porn website YouPorn has offered her a $250,000 contract to travel the world in their name -- and she wouldn't even have to get naked for it. It seems doubtful that she'll take it, however, as King has a whole lot of other things going for her.
