LeAnn Rimes sues dentist because his botched work is ruining her singing career

LeAnn Rimes is not very happy with her dentist. After some awful dental work, Rimes has had to sue Dr. Duane C. McKay because she says her messed up mouth is impacting her music career.

TMZ has obtained Rimes' lawsuit, which says the dental work is impeding her ability to perform. She is seeking unspecified damages for "physical, emotional and psychiatric injures," as well as money for "loss of past and future earnings."

According to the suit, Rimes has seen McKay for various dental work over the past three years, including crowns and upper front veneers. She's also had to undergo nine root canals and bone grafting and has needed a temporary bridge and physical therapy. Rimes attests she will have a "permanent cosmetic deficiency" because of McKay's dentistry.

This isn't the first time Rimes has made her unhappiness with the dental work known. She wrote on Twitter in July (via Us Weekly), "Waiting on the endodontist to meet me and do a nighttime root canal. This is one of the craziest things I've ever been through. Trying to keep my mind off the pain & what's about to happen by saying hi to you guys. Life does not work on the right schedule sometimes. This is such bad timing! K, wish me luck. Much love!"

In the following days, she posted, "O-M-G i got 3 shots in the roof of my mouth & 1 INSANE shot directly into the half dead half ALIVE nerve through the hole he drilled on the backside of my tooth." She ended up having to cancel several concerts as a result.
