Justin Bieber's mom Patti Mallette talks Selena Gomez: 'She's a sweetheart'

While Justin Bieber's mom Patti Mallette might not have a say in his relationships, she has made it clear that she has no hard feeling against his ex, Selena Gomez. Mallette recently visited "Today" to talk about her movie "Crescendo I" and opened up about her son's recent breakup.

"It's tough letting go and letting our kids make the mistakes that they need to make. And I just have to trust that he's made good decisions in the past and hopefully he's learned from some of my mistakes," she says. "You know, I just try and support whatever he's wanting and I think she's a sweetheart, and whatever they decide is great."

Bieber is both performing on and hosting "Saturday Night Live" on Feb. 9. While it seems doubtful he'll have a skit referencing Gomez in there, it does seem likely that he'll poke fun at some of his indiscretions during the episode.
