J.K. Rowling, Kate Middleton, Adele among Britain's most inspirational women
A survey taken by Oxfam, a charitable organization focused on finding solutions to poverty, has found which females British women find most inspiring. First place was a tie, between Queen Elizabeth, and Olympic gold medal winning track and field athlete Jessica Ennis. The were each identified by 42 percent of the survey's respondents as being an inspiration.
Tied for third place were actress Dame Helen Mirren, and "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, who were both listed by 39 percent of the survey takers as inspirational. Other notables in the top ten are Kate Middleton, at number six, and singers Adele and Annie Lennox, at numbers eight and ten, respectively.
