Jennifer Lawrence joins Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale in David O. Russell's next movie
Deadline reports Lawrence has signed on to play Christian Bale's wife in the '70s-set drama which also stars Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner.
Lawrence's role is likely to be a supporting one this time around. The story focuses on the intersecting interests of a notorious financial con artist (Bale), his mistress and partner in crime (Adams), an out of control federal agent (Cooper) and a volatile New Jersey state assembly leader (Renner).
Russell clearly enjoys working with the same actors multiple times: Bale won an Oscar and Adams earned a nomination for Russell's "The Fighter."
The in-demand Lawrence has already won a Golden Globe and SAG award for her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook." She's set to reprise her role as Mystique in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and also has the two-part finale of "The Hunger Games" yet to film.
She and Cooper have another film, Depression-era drama "Serena," due for release this year.
