Beyonce strips down and calls Blue Ivy her 'homey' in Vogue
Is it just us, or does Beyonce look sexier than usual in the March issue of Vogue? If she does, it's something that she feels down to her core, as the Queen B admits to the magazine that she feels better than she ever has.
That will trickle down into her music, as well. Beyonce says that what she's created since she gave birth to baby Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z is "a lot more sensual... empowering," and it celebrates her being both a wife and a mother.
"Right now, after giving birth, I really understand the power of my body. I just feel my body means something completely different. I feel a lot more confident about it. Even being heavier, thinner, whatever," she says. "I feel a lot more like a woman. More feminine, more sensual. And no shame."
As for that little bundle of joy, Beyonce seems more than happy to be a mother. "She's my road dog," she says of her daughter. "She's my homey, my best friend."
Want to hear Beyonce's take on giving birth? Well, you can, even if you never thought you'd need to. She explains that she started feeling especially maternal around eight months into her pregnancy, but that became exaggerated when she had Blue Ivy.
"It happened during my labor because I had a very strong connection with my child. I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn't think about my own pain," she says. "We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication."
