Andy Samberg engaged to Joanna Newsom

Comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alum Andy Samberg is officially off the market, ladies. The 34-year-old funnyman has popped the question to longtime girlfriend Joanna Newsom, 31.

"I can confirm that Andy Samberg and Joanna Newsom are engaged," writes Samberg's publicist in an email to Reuters.

Newsom, a musician known primarily for her baroque folk music, was spotted with a diamond ring on her left ring finger at the Independent Spirit Awards this past Saturday, which is what sparked the rumors that the couple had gotten engaged.

The couple began dating five years ago. It will be the first marriage for both.
