'Shark Tank' entrepreneur Robert Herjavec wrecks Ferrari at Daytona
Robert Herjavec lives his life in the fast lane. The millionaire entrepreneur, and star of "Shark Tank," races Ferrari's in his free time. He was doing exactly that, Friday, when he veered off course, and wrecked. The Associated Press report Herjavec was participating in the inaugural Ferrari Challenge at Daytona International Speedway. On the seventh lap, he was hit from behind by another driver, which caused him to leave the 3.56-mile road course.
Luckily, he was fine. After being treated for any injuries at infield care, he was released. His car wasn't in too bad a shape, either. It had to be towed back to the garage for repairs. However, Herjavec tweeted that he expects the car to be ready to go Saturday, so he can participate in the second race. He noted that he was more frustrated, than anything else.
Herjavec is fairly new to racing cars, but he seems to be doing pretty good so far. In 2012 he was awarded Rookie of the Year in the Ferrari Challenge series.
