Scott Sterling found dead: Clippers owner's son dies of apparent overdose

Scott Sterling, the 32-year-old son of Los Angeles Clippers owner, Donald Sterling, was found dead in a Malibu apartment.

CBS Los Angeles reports authorities say the younger Sterling's death appears to have been caused by a drug overdose. Someone reported finding Scott's body around 11:30 p.m. on Jan 1.

Friends and family say Scott had not been seen for days prior to his body being found.

At the age of 19, Scott was accused of shooting his childhood friend, but no charges were filed against him. Scott reportedly had no formal role in the Clippers organization.
