Robin Roberts returning to 'Good Morning America' in a matter of 'weeks, not months'

"Good Morning America" anchor Robin Roberts revealed back in June that she was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS) and revealed she would be undergoing a bone marrow transplant as treatment, which took place in September.

The transplant took Roberts on an extended leave of absence from "Good Morning America," but now she says she's ready to come back on Monday's "GMA" (Jan. 14).

Roberts appeared live from her home where she announced that her latest bone marrow test showed no sign of MDS, which means she can start planning her return to the anchor guest at "GMA."

"My last bone marrow aspiration showed no abnormalities - praise God. What all this means is, doctors were waiting for this information so that I can began the process of returning to the anchor chair," says Roberts.

Roberts refers to it as "coming home" and says it will be a matter of "weeks, not months."
