Inauguration 2013: Michelle Obama's dress is Thom Browne

It's always about the fashion for the ladies, isn't it?

For President Barack Obama's second inauguration, First Lady Michelle Obama donned a navy Thom Browne coat and dress, reports the AP. The fabric for the dress is supposed to mimic the style of a man's silk tie. Her belt and shoes are J.Crew and the first lady's necklace was designed by Cathy Waterman.

Daughters Sasha and Malia are not left out of the fashion parade, either. Malia (above, left) is wearing a J.Crew ensemble, while Sasha (above, right) has on a Kate Spade coat and dress.

Following the inauguration, the first lady's ensemble and accessories will be donated to the National Archives.

There is no word yet as to what Michelle will wear to the inaugural balls this evening. In 2009, she wore a white, one-shoulder Jason Wu gown.
